Carnival just concluded. It is a celebration people have before the lent period begins of the year. It is very popular in all of Latin America, and Ecuador as well.
But each country has their own ways of celebrating Carnival. Ecuador is no different. In Ecuador, the streets turn into a big water fight where everyone tries to drench unsuspecting strangers by throwing water ballons or dumping buckets of water off buildings…
It’s actually quite fun if you embrace it… the best celebration is arguably in Cuenca each year.
