OK, I love Ecuador, that´s why I´m here, but some things certainly don´t smell like roses.
Besides, as an expat, I am entitled to complain…
1 thing I hate about Ecuador is that it is nearly impossible to find good books (in English especially)… I am used to living in the US where a quick stop over to Amazon, and a 2 or 3 day wait is all that separate me from my next new book…
Not that easy in Ecuador…word for the wise…bring your books when you come and be sure to ask everyone you know that´s coming down to bring you more…
In an upcoming post I will mention how you could get books sent to you in Ecuador if you are willing to pay hefty shipping fees…stay tuned…

My wife and I are avid readers and had the same problem after we moved to Cotacachi, Ecuador. We resolved it by buying an Amazon Kindle while we were back visiting the States. Now, we can download and read English books anytime.
Thanks Gary, yea, I think I may invest in a Kindle too, Domenick
