It’s best to bring a few hundred dollars in cash and two different ATM cards, that’s it… you can take out from down here, the fees are a $1-2 to the machine and another $2-3 to your bank every time you take out (so take out a lot at a time).
ATM machines are now everywhere in Ecuador, a few years back it was more difficult.

By that I assume you mean two different banks, as opposed to a spare card from the same bank.
