The Ecuador Social Security agency (BIESS) has reported that it has given $318 million in mortgages to Ecuadorians in its first six months of existence.

In August alone 67 million dollars was loaned out to a total of 1800 Ecuadorian families. This could obviously have an upward effect on prices of real estate in Ecuador.
