Find a Question:
Returning for another 3 month visit in the same 12 month period.

I am a Canadian that visited Ecuador for 2 1/2 months (Sep 15 to Dec 01). I just showed up in Quito and was allowed to stay for up to 90 days.
I loved most everything about Ecuador and am anxious to return. So anxious that I already bought a ticket to arrive on Feb 15 and depart on May 1. This would be a second stay of about 2 1/2 months in the span of only 8 months.
I just read that Ecuador allows “no visa” visits by many nationalities (Canadians included) for only 90 days in any 12 month period. What is going to happen when I show up in February?
I’m traveling throughout South America between now and Feb 15 so going back to Canada to get a visa is not really an option. Got any advice?

Hi Jerry, I have heard and seen that in most cases they let you right in no problem even though the law states otherwise.
If you dont want to risk it you can go to an Ecuador Consulate in the country were you are and solicit a visa 12-9 prior to arrival.
