I am from victoria canada i have been to colombia many times which i enjoy but i am interested in ecuador the prices seem reasonable to buy property which area is nicest? I may like to buy or open ciber cafe? To supplement my savings. I have extensive experience in food and beverage maybe small bar or bb with owner accomadation would be interesting thx

Ronald- I have not been to Ec but have been researching it for awhile now , I will be exploring it in a little bit. I did run across a cyber cafe in Salinas http://www.expat-blog.com/en/classified/south-america/ecuador/31-buy-sell-other/74777-salinas—small-business-for-sale.html for sale 8K and a small bar in Crucita which you can google has a residence in the back . Oppermann and gonzales are the realestate persons I contacted about the bar. They indicate the 87K is over priced because it has been on the market awhile. Hoep the research helps

Nicest depends on your definition….I like the coast, others like the highlands, then others like the Amazon area. My suggestion would be to come for an extended stay and check out all the different areas for yourself…a nice vacation and scouting trip all rolled into one. There are businesses to buy or you can open a new one and I believe Ecuador is a great place filled with great opportunity for those that want to come live and work here.
