You do NOT need an attorney to help with immigration and visas, actually it is a “personal” process and you can do it on your own. Some people find the need for more hand holding, especially if they do not have a full understanding of the Spanish language and some find the process a little daunting so they might hire a facilitator to assist them. As with any profession…you need to interview, check references etc. before just relying on someone that gives you a name to hire. Lots of issue with both attorneys and facilitators here.
