USA tax for new expat

Just moved to Ecuador in Aug 2011…need recommendation on how or who to use to file expat taxes…living in Playas, so Cuenca, Salinas or Guayaquil would be close to home.

Do you have Internet? File your Taxes with Tax Act. You didnt say if you have foreign income. VIP if you have income from Ecuador will be tax for US taxes. Also if you have a foreign bank account that you made interest on you will report it on 1040 Schedule B. If your checking or savings account was more than $10,000 at any time of the year you will have to report it on TD F 90-22.1 form or if you made $1,500 in interest on any account. If your interest was less than $1,500 report it on Sch B part 1. Foreign earned income exclusion is $92,000 per person for 2011. For anyone reading this answer the exclusion is filed on form 2555 Russ
