Single Senior Lady : Ecuadore vs. Panama

I am 60 something active single lady. I have been to Boquette in Panama and other areas of Panama. I was wondering how life is for single ladies in Ecuadore. I plan to visit Jan./Feb 2012.
Has anyone experienced living in both countries and can give the pros and cons?

We are currently living in Cuenca and were surprised at the large number of single retired women living here and loving it. i’d say visit for a few weeks and then make the move.

Id say the biggest PRO of Ecuador is that the humidity is much less than Panama and you can choose your climate.
One big PRO of Panama is that you can drive your car down from the US and that consumer goods are much more reasonably priced than in Ecuador. In Ecuador importing used cars is difficult and costly.
