hello I am becoming more stressed from working and I am considering going to equator from 55 to ??? . I would to plan to live off my savings for at least 7 yrs if I can manage to save enough.
This would allow me to quit work early and decrease stressors as I and have some mental health issues. What are the possibilities of being able to continue medications there and having a good psychiatrist.

You would require great fluency in Spanish. If otherwise, your options are extremely limited as to psychotherapists, unless a local was well-trained and experienced in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
As you are well aware, psychotherapy, whether “talk” or meds or both, are still considered “soft” science.
A prescribing psychotherapist today requires vast knowledge
of the chemistry of the brain; the number of remediaiting psychoactives available is growing rapidly. Frequently, up to several pharmaceuticals may have to be tried prior to achieving the best results.
Should your diagnosis be confirmed in your country of origin, and your prescription(s) controls your brain’s chemical imbalance, then it is wise to arrive with several RXs, signed originals. The drugs should not be limited to “brand only” – generics are fine.
Most of the meds obtainable in Ecuador are of US/Canada/Europe/Singapore/Israel origination, providing the highest of quality.
Check for “shelf-life” dates, and act accordingly.
Excellent, well-stocked pharmacies abound in Ecuador’s major cities. One of the largest is “Fybeca”. I suggest you check with them for availability of the meds you require, and pricing.
Another method is to file original, signed prescriptions with one of the Canadian pharmacies operating online. Most are excellent. Prices for the meds are very much lower than for the same in the US; CDanada has negotiated special, very low pricing on most medications with the Big Pharma manufacturers.
Excellent medical and dental practitioners are available in Guayaquil and Quito.
