How much does it cost to acquire residency if I purchase property with a sales price of $26,000?

Well, not purchase price but what the value is on the tax form. Keep in mind it is $25,000 value for the first person and an additional person can be added for $5,000 more.

Its not the “sales” price, its the municipal value that governs this. Many people get caught this way when purchasing property. You need to check that value BEFORE purchasing to make sure it falls within the value to be able to use that as an investment to acquire a residency visa.

Answer #5

It is the assessed value just like in the US which is shown on the property registration form. If it’s less than $25k you can request the property be re-assessed and since it would mean more tax revenue for the municipality, they never object.
