Pensioner’s Visa

What papers are required to show proof of a pension of $1,000 or more to be able to apply for residency in Ecuador? How much does it cost for this type of Visa? The $1,000 pension is my husband’s; does this cover me and my ability to get a residency as well?

Below is Dom’s answer; I never saw the “The rest is just details.”…was it answered sometime & I just missed the answer? Thanks.

Saludos, Dom

To qualify the main requirement is to be able to show proof of a pension of at least $1000 a month more or less.

The rest is just details.

I’ll be writing on this in more detail THIS WEEK. Stay tuned to my main site, http://EcuadorRealEstate.org

Saludos, Dom

Currently you have to show proof of retirement income of $900 per month for a single and $100 extra for each other person coming to apply for this visa. This would be in a form acceptable to the government, but for the most part if he has any documentation from the administrator or company for his retirement plan that would normally suffice. It seems the $1000 is just right for you for now (laws change here). It is best to have an attorney or a very knowledgeable person help you with the proper filings. The pensionado visa is a very good visa and there are many benefits to it.
