I understand that there is a Olympic Medalist for Racewalking from Ecuador. Is he from Cuenca. What is his name and would it be possible to meet him? My sister and I will arrive in Cuenca on Dec. 15th and she is a racewalker with many race medals.

Jefferson Perez. He won gold in ´96 and silver in ´08 (Ecuador´s only olympic medals ever, I believe) as well as world champ in 2003, 2005, and 2007. Sorry don´t have his contact info.. he is based in Cuenca and I think he has a racewalking school.
