Hello,I placed a question a few days ago and appreciate the responses. I guess my main concern is this…I don’t have a lot of material goods, but what I do have is good stuff. Three tv’s all over 32″, and a mattress bed combo in a cal king. I am 6’5″ tall and my furniture reflects this, but I add up the cost of my things and its around 10,000 dollars, less than a shipping container??? I guess my question is do I have to just get rid of everything but two suitcases before I move? Otherwise it will cost more to ship my things than to buy new stuff? But in my size? My furniture and dining room table are built for my size. Thanks, Pat

When my wife and I moved we decided to sell everything and buy here, which we found to be right for us. We traveled with 14 suitcases and it was much cheaper to do it that way then to ship anything. Check out the airlines as Aerogal did not have a maximum amount of bags that they would carry..you just had to pay the extra bag fees. What I found out was this….your carrier that will take you to your port of departure to go overseas must adhere to the baggage requirements of that carrier…so we traveld on American Airlines that had a maximum of 5 per passenger but had to take 7 per passenger since Aerogal would. I found that interesting and had never heard that before.

We had mattresses made to order and the same for furniture so it’s not a problem to replace the things you’ve mentioned. Normally the problem is things that have sentimental value which cannot be replace in which case you’ve got to bite the proverbial bullet and pay the excess if they put you over the limit.

Hi Pat, you can bring one TV down with you under the plane no problem, I just did today in fact!
3 may be a problem.
You can order custom made furniture here reasonably cheaply, no need to bring down, sell before coming. Just my 2 cents.
