I’ve accidentally overstayed my visa

I arrived in Ecuador last May for 30 days, and again in October for 30 days. When I left in November, I asked if my original T-3 visa would carry over into 2014. I was told no, it would be a new year. Then, when In arrived in January, I asked the same question. I was again told no, because it was a new year. When I contacted my attorney, I told him what I was told, and he seemed to agree. Well last Thursday, I was in Manta to apply for my Investment visa. When we got the Migration report from Migrations Police, it indicated that as of January 16th, I had 33 days left in my visa. Thus I’ve overstayed my visa.

I have already gotten the required $25,000.00 CD. Can you tell me if I have any option to remain here, and apply for my residency visa?
