Humidity

Hi,

I am curious about the degree of humidity in Ecuador; is it like Panama for example or is it more “reasonable?”

My wife and I are elderly (83 and 70) and are very seriously considering the move to Vilcabamba in the near future. We are now certified organic growers on a large Iowa farm. We now spend our time between our New York farm and Tucson Arizona. We will divest ourselves of all three properties here before we move to Ecuador and probably not return to the U.S.

Would appreciate knowing whatever you good folks can tell us about anything and everything!

Thanks in advance!

Rob

Hi Rob;

I can tell you on the coast, the humidity is much better that it was in Florida and it is normally only felt during rainy season.
I have heard that it is humid in Vicabamba but do not have first hand knowledge and I hope someone here can answer you better.

Good luck

Was in Vilcabamba in late Jan. early Feb. 2012 and there was no problem with humidity whatsoever. Very small village type community with a growing expat population. Stayed at Izhcayluma 2km out of town high overlooking Vilc. Super place to stay and really reasonable.
