How can I get my own cedula.

If I were in Quito could I “walk around” and get my cedula/census?If I can do it for land purchases why not for cedula?Has anyone done this, if so how do you go about it?Thanks

To my knowledge a cedula is for an immigrant resident or a citizen, so a visa with that designation would need to be in place to apply for one. A censo is for non-immigrant and you can get one for various reasons and with various visa types. In answer to your specific question though…I would think you could do all the paperwork, process etc. yourself…all the citizens do, why not you?

Hi, to get a cedula you need to be on some type of resident visa… on just a tourist visa it is not easy to get one.
