High Speed Internet answer (partial)
(I “answered” a few posts ago on the subject of high speed internet, but I only see the answer when I LOG ON ! For visibility, I repeat my response here.)
I can only respond to (future) availability ALL ALONG the coast in a most incomplete way and from a second hand source. I was in Bahia two years ago end of March. (Definitely high speed there. It was quick enough, couldn’t give you numbers though.) A builder-developer there told me the gov’t had “committed” to running broad band up the coast to Canoa and beyond. He may have had a hidden agenda with me telling me that. It was consistent, though, with the export economy being on steroids for some years and the government plowing money into infrastructure: roads, dams, airports, etc. So his remark was in consonance with that background info I already had. And it made sense. Think of the economic boost and tax revenue to the country should the coast be enhanced with broad band. Would attract more residential developers with something better to sell; build it and they will come. btw….I drove the entire coast from Pedernales in the north to south of Salinas. The road was best I’ve seen in the world.
The best of the real estate agents, especially local to where ever you look, should have hard copy documentation (from the media for instance) to know the answer to an important question/s like yours.
