Help on moving

First of all, thank you all for the great information I have found on this site. My dad and his wife are moving to Ecuador soon and have been talking to me about moving down there. I am going to school full time to become a teacher. I graduate in two years. I am single with no kids. I would appreciate any suggestions on getting work in Ecuador. I have a disability pension of about $1300 a month. Thanx ahead of time.

Being single you can live quite well on that amount of money. Are you planning on going to school here to finish your degree? That would be a great thing to do if you speak Spanish, if not it will be more difficult in my opinion. Ecuador is a wonderfully diverse country. Getting a teaching job here is not hard if you want to teach English from what I have heard. Other jobs are more difficult for a foreigner to get, but hopefully someone on this forum has had some experience in getting a job and will join in the conversation.
I wish you all the best.
