Where can I get the scoop about growing Cacao in Ecuador? ie. What is the “best” type to grow as per today’s market? What areas of Ecuador support the best growth for CCN51 types? etc.

I currently have about 35 acres planted in Esmeraldas. I have both the Nacional and CCN51 mixed in together. I would say stick to either Manabi or Esmeraldas for Cacao growing but you will find property values lower in Esmeraldas.
