Ecuadorian Passport

I was very interested in obtaining an EC passport upon my investigation at the Guayaquil office.I
was informed I had to have a passport valid in my country of origin and was required to be fluent in Spanish, When reading your article I did
not see these requirements. Am I missing something or is their ways around this. Thank you, would appreciate any advice.

You may find differences in requirements, but the law does state you need to be versed enough in Spanish for their liking and to take the written exam. You are also required to know and sing the national anthem, be versed in geography of the country and its history. Not sure what you are asking about a passport from another country…but I would imagine unless you were born here you would have to have a valid passport from your country of origin to take citizenship here…just makes sense.
