My wife and I are visiting Ecuador from Canada until Feb 15th. We came here to get a feel for the country and see what it is like. We have been staying in the Vilcabamba area for the last month. We could be available to help out until Mid February. Let us know what you need and we can discuss the idea. email: ixn8880@gmail.com
Sorry our cell phone number is out of calling area.

Sorry but I think for people to help you we need to know exactly where is Santa Isabel?

Your best bet is finding a local neighbor who already lives in the area. Dom

Hello there :)

My husband and I are interested in learning more about the position you have available.

A bit about us. We are currently in Loja and are available. We are both in our fifties and have been home owners as well as landlords over the years. Between us we can fix just about anything and both of us like things to run smoothly and efficiently. I doubt you would have issue with the quality of our work.

If you think we might fit the bill and haven’t found anyone yet then I look forward to your reply.

Thank you and have a lovely evening.

Thanks Dom give more detail of Santa Isabel.

Santa Isabel a long valley that begins just south of Cuenca and ends near the seaport city of Machala, with a few small towns along the way. The advantage of Yunguilla is that the best locations are just 45 minutes from Cuenca, a city of half million people and the “cultural heart and soul” of Ecuador. The elevation in Yunguilla ranges from about 7,000 feet at the Giron side (closest to Cuenca) down to 4,500 feet at the Santa Isabel side (closest to Machala) – the climate is perfect and warm, with a very short rainy season. The valley is at an East-West orientation,

I am looking for a position such as you describe. I am moving to Ecuador in April of 2013. I am 71, a JOAT (jack of all trades). I would like the position for a year or more. I am an ex rocket scientist. I worked for ORBITAL SCIENCES for 10 years before I retired. My email is: neuliep@q.com. I have designed one home. helped build 2 more, and know a bit about cabinet building, carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing. To anyone who may need a caretaker, please email me info with respect to your position. I shall respond.
