Can someone clarify whether or not we can bring in items in our suitcases, like towels, sheets and such without paying or if I have to pay something what is the amount? My rental has no towels, sheets, etc.. I also have a desk top computer I would like to bring in(and leave). I am just trying to figure out what to expect when I arrive at the airport. Thanks, Tracy

Tracy;

You will have no issues with bringing in any of the items you mention in suitcases…my wife and I moved here with 14 suitcases and even brought our own cooking pots and pans along with our sheets, towels etc. Good Luck and have a great trip to Ecuador.

here’s a link to ecuador’s customs regs:

looks like you can bring in one new/used desktop computer. for your other personal items you don’t have to worry. in fact, i would bring in as much as possible (without going over the weight limit) b/c quality products are hard to find at good prices here.
