Anti-Monopoly Law Being Pushed Through Ecuador Assembly

According to a recent census, 90% of the sales in Ecuador are made by 1% of the businesses. This called the attention of Ecuador administrators which have begun the process of pushing through an anti-monopoly law that will attempt to protect the consumer by impulsing competition.

Although some feel this law is just a ploy by the government to gain more power to close down any business they choose, or anyone that is invading on their OWN monopoly, or an industry they’d like to monopolize.
